This ongoing portrait series consists of London based artists, from multiple disciplines, pictured in their studios.
Daniel initially began the project in Putney, south west London, photographing ten local artists, which was exhibited soon after completion.
The idea for the project came about when Daniel was exploring the Putney Artists Open House exhibitions in the autumn of 2013. Having toured a dozen or so houses he realised there was scope to show these talented artists in their beautiful working environments, each and every one of them different to each other, which would lend itself beautifully to a large collection of images. The very nature of the various types of artists would dictate a range in tones, colours but also the subjects and tools in frame.
Beginning with the portrait of Ken & Margot Cox in March 2014, which was highly commended in the British Life Photography Awards, the series has expanded to other parts of London and will continue into the long term future.
